Smoked Brisket Stew


The Story: One of our most popular Farm'r restaurant dishes has always been the smoked brisket. It's hard to make at home and who has the time? Our brisket is a multi-day process and cooks slowly for 5 hours. Then we combine the pull-apart meat with mushrooms and rotisserie potatoes all cooked perfectly and put together in a tasty chicken stock. This is a top notch stew that pairs well with anything (rice, mashed potatoes, pasta or by itself).

Ingredients: brisket, chicken stock (chicken bones, onion, carrot, celery, thyme, rosemary, parsley, mushrooms, water), rotisserie potatoes (russet potato, thyme, rosemary, garlic, chicken fat, kosher salt, black pepper), mushrooms (cremini mushrooms, thyme, rosemary, garlic, kosher salt, black pepper, canola oil), plum tomato, ancho chilies, bay leaf, parsley, kosher salt, black pepper

Spice Level: Low, not spicy

Heating Instructions: Heat in saucepot until warm.

Portion: 700g. Arrives Frozen. Serves 2 people.

Farm’r opened its doors in 2017 right by the St Lawrence Market. We wanted to bring the best aspects of fine dining into a more accessible, fast casual space. For over 2 years, we served up local, delicious, scratch made food crafted by seasoned chefs to our neighbourhood as well as to offices in downtown Toronto through our growing catering business.

With COVID-19, we had to get creative and that’s how Farm’r Prepared Meals was born. These days, people are spending more time at home and cooking can get exhausting! We noticed that there weren’t a lot of quality frozen meals out there. Using the same core values we had with our restaurant, we’ve created a new menu of small batch, chef made meals that are ready to heat, eat and enjoy!
